Mutual recognition - 19/10/2012

Articles 34 to 36 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU) set forth the principle of the free movement of goods in the EU and it therefore applies directly in all Member States. This principle means that any product lawfully marketed in a Member State may be freely marketed in all the other Member States, unless it compromises essential public interest requirements (particularly, the health and safety of individuals).
