FIBRE ( English)

The goal of the Fibre project is to design a light, small, economical, easy-to-use and remotely operated underwater machine with a broadband connection to the surface.

This machine, capable of operating at more than 2,000 m below the surface, would greatly expand the possibility of underwater exploration (of underwater resources but also biological ecosystems).

This simple-looking machine is packed with innovations, including its ballast system, its immersed-rotor propulsion engines and its high-speed broadband fibre-optic connection.

The Fibre project is led by Frov, a subsidiary of ACSA which specialises in underwater positioning technologies and underwater robotics.
